Sericultural Development Division

We all students of Class 10 were visited  sericultural development Division .It was related to Chapter of science subject .We were taken to khopasi , kavre to learn about silkworm and its farming .We moved to khopasi on 10 am and we reached on 12 :25 .Our principal Rajan sir and our science teacher Ramesh sir went with us for guaidence. I learn many things about silkworm and its cultivation.

It took us more than 2 hours to reach the center. We were guided by the manager of the center to observe the place. There we were able to see the silk moth in their different stages. We also saw the machines required for the rearing of silk worm and the machines required for the production of the silk. We then visited the area where mulberry plants were planted. There were 21 varieties of mulberry available there. We were notified that canva 2 of those varieties was the best for silk worm. There was a smoker where the cocoons were kept to produce silk. 

Silkworm is very useful for human beings and silk thread is obtained from the cocoon. Silk is used to prepare beautiful and durable clothes like sari,tie,etc. and it is also used to prepare parachute, special type of type forcats, the outer covering of telephone wire,etc.  

We learnd many thing about silk worm and sericulture from this visit .I would like to thank our science sir Ramesh sir and our principal rajan sir for providing this.
